Hello, I'm Jake Gleim. As a wedding photographer and filmmaker, I aim to capture the essence of your special day and preserve the memories forever. As a father and husband myself, I understand the importance of wedding photography and videography. I also have shot nearly a 1,000 weddings, so you can be assured that I am well-versed in all the best practices to capture your day. My background in cinema means that I approach each wedding as a unique narrative, and focus on capturing not only the moments but also the emotions that make each wedding day special.

I work with intention and care to capture all the special moments and details of your day. With my experience and insight, I have developed an intimate knowledge of the wedding day and understand the importance of capturing unique and memorable moments. I don’t believe in cut and paste photography; I strive to produce one-of-a-kind images that reflect the individuality of each couple.

my skillset.
Starting in early 2014, my wife and I began shooting together. This eventually lead to the establishment of Gleimlight, our photography studio. In 2017 we took the leap and went full time with our studio. Over the years are studio has grown and branched out, adding wedding video services under the name of SD Wedding Films. As life continued we've been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, and a baby gril now on the way. As we welcomed our baby boy into this world my wife put down her cameras, for now. I have a decade of experience in this industry and a roster of associate shooters I can all on at a moments notice for emergencies or additional hands.
my life.
In 2014 I said "I Do" to the most amazing woman I have ever met. Now, after 10 years of happy marriage I am the father to a growing family. Full of joy and wonder for what life has in store for us next. My family is my life, my passion for photography is rooted in capturing moments that pass us by far to fast. Our little boy Merrick, has grown far to quickly. The joy of seeing him grow is priceless, but with that joy comes sorrow. I'll never see him at this stage of life again; just the thought makes my chest tighten. Photos and video are the only way I will get to relive these fleeting moments.
So, what are those fleeting moments I capture? Aside from the occasional family photos it's the small stuff. Merrick helping me in the garden or sitting by the campfire on a cold winter night. It's skipping rocks in the lake or chasing frogs by the creek side. The long hike up for the perfect view or the 4x4 trail wandering through the wilderness. Kicking back for family movie night or snuggling up listening to soft jazz. Making breakfast and devouring dinner. All those little moments that make up my life, are what I hope I capture enough of.
