Photographer & Film Maker
Jake Gleim
Hey! I'm Jake, a full time wedding photographer and film-maker. I love being able to make that claim, a full time wedding photographer and film-maker. I'm not a commercial photographer, I'm not a family photographer, and I'm not an event photographer. There are few photographers in the wedding industry that can make this same claim and it's something I truly cherish. That means every dollar I earn, every meal on my table was paid for by capturing timeless memories of your love stories!
what i shoot.
I capture your love story. Whether its an intimate elopement on a mountain top, a backyard gathering or a sprawling estate. My goal is to document your wedding day from start to finish. The day will be a blur, so I aim to preserve those precious moments for you to cherish throughout your married life.
I take every photo as an opportunity to be artistic while telling the story. I never shoot for coverage, instead I shoot to capture the most powerful, story driven and emotion evoking imagery.

where i shoot.
With my amazing wife Christina, we raise two beautiful children. A little boy named Merrick who has an unbound curiosity and sense of adventure. And our daughter, Ellie, with a smile that washes all my worries away. We live on a little ranch in Central Texas which mean Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin are just a short drive away. During the heat of summer we'll often vaca to our cabin in Julian California.
Because I have two little ones waiting for me at home, I mostly book weddings in Waco, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin TX or San Diego. If your love story brings you to one of these locations I'd love to chat!

my skillset.
I've been photographing weddings for over 10 years now! During that time my wife and I build a photography studio Gleimlight (that serves SoCal) and a videography studio serving Dallas & San Diego regions.
While I give all glory and thanks to God for our success, it wasn't without hard work, talent and determination. To date, my team has shot over 1,000 weddings!
my life.
In 2014 I said "I Do" to the most amazing woman I have ever met. Now, after 10 years of happy marriage I am the father to a growing family. Full of joy and wonder for what life has in store for us next. My family is my life, my passion for photography is rooted in capturing moments that pass us by far to fast. Our little boy Merrick & our darling girl Ellie, have grown far to quickly. The joy of seeing them grow is priceless, but with that joy comes sorrow. I'll never see them in this stage of life again; just the thought makes my chest tighten. Photos and video are the only way I will get to relive these fleeting moments.
So, what are those fleeting moments I capture? Aside from the occasional family photos it's the small stuff. Merrick & Ellie helping me in the garden or sitting by the campfire on a cold winter night. It's skipping rocks in the lake or chasing frogs by the creek side. The long hike up for the perfect view or the 4x4 trail wandering through the wilderness. Kicking back for family movie night or snuggling up listening to soft jazz. Making breakfast and devouring dinner. All those little moments that make up my life, are what I hope I capture enough of.
